Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and WHS regulations 2017, Australian Standard 3745-2010, and various State specific regulations.
The AS 3745-2010 states the following:
Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) which includes Chief Fire Wardens, Fire Wardens, Floor/Area Wardens and deputies should hold training no greater than 6 months, however many businesses undertake formal training once per year that includes an evacuation exercise, plus another evacuation exercise 6 months after that.
The training sessions vary depending on the type of training, the number of participants, and whether additional training is being carried out (hot fire extinguisher training immediately after Fire Warden training for example).
